7 weeks pregnant
Although the embryo is currently still very small, it is already 10,000 times larger than at the time of conception. This week, both arms and legs will be formed, as well as the brain.
your baby,
from tadpole to limb
The tadpole you've been nurturing for the past few weeks is undergoing a remarkable transformation 🐸 The tiny lumps on its sides have developed into actual limbs, with tiny arms and legs now emerging. Even the little hands are beginning to take shape, and within a few weeks the elbows, knees and feet will also be visible.
Remarkably, the embryo already has eyes, although they are still on the sides of the head and covered with skin. In addition, the nostrils have already formed, although it will be some time before it can smell or breathe.

mom,
7 weeks pregnant
In the seventh week of your pregnancy, the placenta slowly begins to take over the role of the yolk sac and now acts as the food factory for your little one. In addition, the placenta continues to release the pregnancy hormone HCG, which can lead to unexpected binge eating. What are you craving? Cake, candy, whipped cream, or maybe even pickles? Your hormones are going wild, so things you couldn't resist before may now seem unappealing or have a strong odor. But remember, anything for that wonderful end goal, mom!
Are you already thinking about how to announce your pregnancy? The risk of miscarriage decreases from the twelfth week of pregnancy, so it might be convenient to share the news after that. Still, this remains a very personal choice. If you feel lousy and have to cancel a party, you can probably count on understanding. Above all, do what you feel comfortable with 😉
