8 weeks pregnant
After eight weeks of pregnancy, the embryo begins to move in your uterus, but unfortunately you cannot observe it yet. This is because the embryo is still very small.
your baby,
muscles, joints and sexual characteristics
At eight weeks pregnant, your little one's muscles are already partially developed, and the embryo is even starting to move 💪 Despite this active phase, you won't be able to feel the movements yet, since your little one is still too small. Take advantage of this quiet period, because in a few months your little powerhouse will be kicking in all directions. During this week, not only the muscles but also the joints are developing; your baby now has shoulders, elbows, knees and hips.
In addition, at this stage, the external features of gender also begin to form. In a girl, the ovaries are formed, while in a boy, the testicles are formed. Nevertheless, you still have to be patient, because it is not until week 11 that you can take the NIP-test or discover the gender during the 20-week ultrasound. Hang in there, mom, the big moment is coming!

mom,
8 weeks pregnant
Even though your pregnancy is still early, your belly may already be becoming somewhat visible. Although the embryo is still small, your uterus is already the size of a baseball. In addition, pregnancy hormones can contribute to bloating, which may not be perceived as pleasant, but these are all positive signs that your pregnancy is on the right track.
Are you already experiencing fatigue? That's understandable, considering your body is already preparing for full term pregnancy. Your uterus is growing, your heart rate is speeding up, your breathing is changing and your blood volume is increasing. It's really hard work to have such a little one growing in your belly! 🥱
