    31 weeks pregnant

As your baby steadily grows and prepares for life after delivery, you face exciting developments and challenges 😚

    week 30 💕 week 32

    your baby,
    the active preparation

    31 weeks pregnant

Your baby is preparing a little more each day for the life after birth. He makes faces, breathes, hiccups and swallows, moves his arms and legs, and even sucks his fingers already. Your little one may be so active that it prevents you from sleeping at night. Comfort yourself with the thought that all this commotion in your belly is the sign of a healthy baby.

Your little one may still be lying in a tailbone position, but it will quickly into the right position to be able to descend correctly within a few weeks. Once your baby has descended, it can no longer change positions 😄

New week, new ailment. Maybe you're suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Because of the extra fluid you're retaining, it's possibly pinched a nerve in your wrist. This can cause a numb feeling in your hands and arms or tingling fingers. Are you suffering from this? Then regularly rub your hands, shake them back and forth and let them hang outside your bed. Also, don't do chores that involve straining your wrists.

Do you sometimes feel that your voice has changed? It but in reality you just hear yourself differently because your Eustachian tube is wider, which is the connection between your middle ear and your nasopharynx.

By the way, did you know that your placenta is now nearing its maximum size by now? At the end of your pregnancy, it will weigh about half kilogram and will be 20 centimeters in diameter. Impressive!
